Job Title

Branch Supervisor – Northampton

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Branch Manager with day‑to‑day running and operations within this small branch.
  • Supervise and support branch staff, providing guidance, training and performance feedback.
  • Serve customers on the trade counter, offering advice and product knowledge.
  • Build rapport with customers & suppliers, responding to any queries and processing sales.
  • Perform general warehouse duties, including goods in & out, picking and packing customer orders.
  • Occasionally relieve delivery driving, 3.5‑tonne van.

This is a full‑time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 08:00–17:00 and Saturday on a rota basis 08:00–12:00.

Qualifications
  • Previous industry or merchant experience is preferable.
  • Prior experience in a face‑to‑face customer service/sales environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence interacting with customers.
  • Team player willing to take on a diverse role to keep the branch running smoothly.
  • Willingness to step up as acting branch manager in the Branch Manager’s absence.
  • Keenness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
