Position: Merchandiser / Demand Planner / Allocator
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and analytical individual to join our team as a Junior Merchandising & Stock Analyst on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in merchandising, retail analytics or demand planning.

You will play an important role in supporting the merchandising team through data analysis, reporting and stock management, helping the business make informed decisions to maximise sales, improve stock availability and achieve commercial targets. Working closely with the Merchandising and Commercial team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate reports, analysing sales and stock performance, monitoring key business metrics and identifying trends or potential issues.

You will use data to support day-to-day trading decisions, providing valuable insights into stock levels, product performance and sales trends across multiple channels, including eCommerce, online marketplaces and wholesale. The ideal candidate will be numerically confident, detail-oriented and comfortable working with large data sets. You will have strong Excel skills, a curious mindset and a keen interest in understanding how data can drive business performance.

* Prepare and maintain regular sales, stock and merchandising reports, ensuring data is accurate, consistent and delivered on time.

* Monitor stock levels, availability, stock cover and sell-through across products and sales channels, highlighting risks and opportunities.

* Analyse sales against budget, forecast and previous periods to identify trends, variances and areas requiring further investigation.

* Track key merchandising KPIs, including sales performance, stock availability, sell-through, markdowns and stock holding.

* Data Management:
Maintain and update spreadsheets, databases and reporting tools, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of merchandising data.

* Assist with sales forecasting, stock planning and budgeting by providing accurate data and analysis to support the wider team.

* Help prepare weekly and monthly trading reports, highlighting changes in performance and potential stock issues.

* Identify best-selling and slower-moving products, providing analysis to support stock allocation, replenishment and markdown decisions.

* Monitor incoming stock, delivery schedules and projected stock cover, flagging potential overstock or availability issues.

* Work closely with Merchandising, Commercial, Finance and eCommerce teams to support reporting requirements and business objectives.

* Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency and visibility through better use of data and Excel.
