Inside Account Manager

6 month contract - highly likely to go perm

Northampton, Hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2 from home.

£30,000 basic, realistic OTE £42,000 but commission is uncapped!

An exciting opportunity has just landed with a well‑established, people‑focused organisation within the IT hardware and supplies sector. You'll be joining a friendly, close‑knit team that genuinely enjoys working together, led by a supportive Hiring Manager known for great rapport and a collaborative approach.

What you'll be doing

This is a varied and fast‑paced account management role focused on relationship building, retention and growth of around 70 active B2B accounts, plus re‑engaging those that have been a little quieter in recent months.

You'll be the go‑to person for your customers, handling a mix of inbound and outbound activity:

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing and nurturing a portfolio of B2B accounts
Working to KPI's
Generating and converting leads through warm conversations and active relationship building
Putting together proposals
Responding to email enquiries and delivering excellent service
Sales administration and updating systems

What we're looking for

To thrive here, you'll need to love speaking to customers, have natural curiosity and enjoy digging into conversations that uncover needs and opportunities.

We'd love to see:

B2B account management and/or sales experience
Evidence of sales achievement (if it's not on your CV, you'll be asked about it)
Strong stakeholder engagement skills
Confidence building relationships over the phone
Someone motivated, energetic and customer‑centric
A proactive approach toward nurturing accounts
