Position: Security /Loss Prevention Officer

Overview

GMS is looking for a Security / Loss Prevention Officer to work at a highly prestigious site in Northampton, NN6 7GZ
.

Shift pattern – Days / Nights and Weekends (8.5hr, 11hr or 12hr shifts are available).

As a Security Officer with GMS, you will receive a pay rate of £12.60 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Working within a small team of security officers
  • Conducting searches of warehouse staff as they leave the warehouse, including shift finish times
  • Performing bag and staff searches
  • Patrolling the warehouse, maintaining a visible presence
  • Performing external patrols of the building and perimeter
  • Reporting findings promptly and escalating issues as necessary
  • Gatehouse duties, controlling access and egress to the site
  • Monitoring CCTV
  • Generating accurate written reports
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • View punctuality as important
  • Professional demeanour with sound judgement
  • Capability of working on your own initiative
  • CCTV License would be advantageous, but not essential for all roles
  • SIA License required – non‑SIA licence holders will not be considered
  • Eligibility to work and live in the UK
