HGV Technician – Northampton

Day & Night Shifts Available | 4 on 4 off | Up to £49,500

We are currently seeking experienced and qualified HGV Technicians to join our team in Northampton. The Role
As an HGV Technician, your responsibilities will include:

* Carrying out diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on HGVs

* Ensuring all work is completed in line with repair orders and industry standards

* Maintaining a strong “right first-time” ethos to minimise rework and ensure high-quality repairs

* Collaborating with the VMU Manager to report on parts, labour, and additional repairs

* Accurately recording time spent on repairs and maintenance tasks

* Maintaining and ensuring the working capacity of tools and machines

* Keeping the workshop clean, safe, and organised at all times

* Working closely with your team to meet workshop objectives and targets

The Ideal Candidate

* NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification (Essential)

* Previous experience working on HGVs within a fleet or commercial environment

* A practical understanding of using information technology and systems to meet objectives

* Strong safety awareness and a commitment to quality repairs

* A flexible and proactive attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Desirable:

* HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence

* Experience with tail lifts is advantageous

Shifts & Pay

* Day Shift (4 on, 4 off): 06:00 – 18:00, £20.36 per hour (Approx. £44,582 per year)

* Night Shift (4 on, 4 off): 18:00 – 06:00, £22.69 per hour (Approx. £49,684 per year)
