(Pro rata to the full-time equivalent salary of £28,770.00 - £30,536.00 per annum)

37 hours per week | 40 weeks per year

Safeguarding & Wellbeing Team

Are you passionate about supporting young people and creating positive student experiences? We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Residential Experience Officer to join a college in Northamptonshire. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in promoting student welfare, encouraging positive behaviours, and helping students thrive both academically and personally within a residential environment. As part of the Safeguarding and Wellbeing team, you will help create a safe, welcoming, and supportive community where students can develop confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging.

• Create a positive and inclusive residential environment where students feel safe, supported, and valued
• Organise and supervise social, sporting, and volunteering activities that enhance the student experience
• Provide pastoral care and act as a trusted point of contact for students' wellbeing needs
• Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and college policies at all times
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, carers, and external agencies to support student success and welfare
• Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a respectful residential community

The successful candidate will have:

• Excellent communication and active listening skills
• Experience working in a similar role supporting young people
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities
• Confidence to challenge inappropriate behaviour in a professional and constructive manner
• A genuine commitment to safeguarding, student welfare, equality, diversity, and inclusion
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues alike

• A recognised qualification in Youth Work or Young People in a Residential Environment
• Experience with in an educational or residential setting
