Graduate Linux Systems Support Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Graduate Linux Systems Support Engineer on a permanent basis for an expanding business based in Kettering.

You will be trained to provide support to Linux based systems within a production based environment ensuring problems are identified and resolved.

You will also be responsible for ticket management, basic maintenance, supporting customers and escalating where required.

The ideal candidate will ideally be of graduate level in ideally Computer Science, Information Science, Computer Engineering or Information Systems however other STEM degrees such as Science, Engineering or Maths are acceptable.

You will have a passion for support and solving problems as well as a basic understanding of Linux based Operating Systems such as Redhat, Cali, Suse, Ubuntu or Centos, etc. The level of experience can be at a hobby, personal or educational level as training will be provided in this role.

Due to the training involved initially this role will be office based in Kettering working normal office hours of 9-5pm. Following your training you will gradually move onto the support rota so after 12 months you will be part of the 24/7 support team which will also include hybrid working.

The initial starting salary is £26,265 basic salary and rise to £39,140 after 12 months training.
