Job Overview

Senior iOS Frontend Engineer at Barclays, responsible for designing, developing and maintaining high‑quality iOS applications that deliver a smooth and secure experience for millions of users.

• Design, develop and maintain iOS applications using Swift, following mobile architecture patterns and Test‑Driven Development.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and other engineers to define software requirements, solution strategies and ensure seamless integration with business objectives.
• Write clean, scalable, maintainable, and performance‑optimised code; conduct code reviews and promote code‑quality culture.
• Apply secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
• Implement effective unit testing and automated mobile testing to ensure reliability.
• Stay updated on industry trends and contribute to the organization’s technology communities.

• Proven experience in customer‑experience (CX) design and building UI/UX for iOS applications.
• Solid experience with Swift, mobile architecture patterns and Test‑Driven Development.
• Deep understanding of iOS frameworks, tools, and development best practices with background in automated mobile testing and building financial applications.
• Experience in product development within agile teams and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills.

This role can be performed from Northampton or Knutsford.
