Senior Software Engineer - Backend (Graph) – EMEA

As a Senior Backend Engineer specializing in Graph technologies, you will design, develop, and maintain the core backend systems that power sophisticated data access and analytics platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, scalable solutions that enable actionable insights and secure identity management. Your work will influence both internal operations and customer-facing products, ensuring reliability, compliance, and technical excellence.

• Design, implement, and maintain backend features and services supporting complex Graph data structures and analytics
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and security specialists to develop features that meet business objectives and technical requirements
• Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of APIs and backend services
• Implement monitoring, logging, and auditing tools to ensure system observability and compliance
• Conduct code and design reviews, refactor legacy systems, and continuously improve backend architecture
• Stay current with emerging technologies, applying new approaches to enhance the platform's functionality and efficiency

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional backend development experience with strong expertise in data modeling, relational and graph databases (e.g., Neo4j)
• Deep understanding of graph algorithms, relational algebra, and distributed system design
• Proven experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservice architectures
• Proficiency in modern backend languages such as Golang or Kotlin
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to mentor junior engineers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts to diverse audiences
