We are seeking a full-time Software Developer to join our software development team. Job DescriptionWe are looking for a high calibre software developer who will be motivated to produce and contribute to software and systems for National Security.
The successful candidate will be able to develop high-quality software applications as part of a team, and to interface software with modern telecommunications and data networks. An ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate a breadth of experience and expertise in working with modern telecommunications protocols, and a keen aptitude for deployable solutions for real-world use.
There is ample opportunity to grow and progress through the business, learning new skills and diversifying in role with potential opportunities for international travel. There is high chance of opportunity to become involved in programming interfaces for other business streams.
This is a permanent, full-time role, based in our offices in the UK, near Northampton. Due to location would be preferable for the candidate to hold a full driving license.
Salary range £50-60k
Duties to include:- Full-Stack development. Ability to build high-performance and scalable solutions using both Frontend and Backend technologies
- Integrate our products with third-party APIs
- Contribute to all phases of software development lifecycle
- Work closely with both software team lead and QA Engineer
- Experienced C#/C++ developer (minimum 5 years)
- Experienced in Windows OS environments
- Experienced in SQL, HTTP, JSON, FTP, WPF
- Real-time programming (of software to process live incoming data)
- Understanding of telecommunications and networking protocols and OSI model
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, frameworks and research areas
- Deep working understanding of VoIP/SIP/RTP/RTSP/TCP/UDP
- Working knowledge of modern mobile network topologies and architecture
- Experience developing with any of SS7, DIAMETER, VoLTE, SCTP
- Experience with MSSQL and large databases, HTML, Fluent 2
- Experience in working in an Agile development team
- Experience with streamed video, GStreamer, FFmpeg, WebRTC
- Experienced in Linux OS environments
- Experience with IoT, distributed systems and event-driven architecture
- Knowledge of SDR programming, e.g. Python, Matlab, DSP, and IQ processing
