Drainage Operative

We're looking for a Drainage Operative to join our Transportation team based in Northamptonshire. Brixworth, Northampton

Permanent, full time, 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday 06:00 to 15:30

£31,636.80 + overtime + call out

• Drive and operate a gully truck to carry out scheduled and reactive drainage maintenance.
• Clean and maintain highway drainage systems including gully pots, ACO channels, culverts, and interceptors.
• Use high‑pressure jetting equipment to clear blockages and ensure free‑flowing drainage.
• Record completed works using handheld devices.
• Support emergency response operations during adverse weather or flooding events.

• Experience operating high‑pressure jetting equipment or similar vehicles.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the team and the public, and to follow safety procedures.
• UK Driving Licence and a Class 2 HGV licence.
