Role Overview

The School requires Minibus Drivers to provide support covering staff absences. Drivers will transport students to and from school Monday - Friday during term time. Morning shifts begin at 06:00, afternoon shifts at 15:15, with variations as required. Additional ad‑hoc opportunities may involve transporting students to sports fixtures or school trips.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely transport students to/from school and other school events.
  • Operate the school minibus in accordance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents and school staff, fostering a positive atmosphere on board.
  • Respond calmly to emergency situations.
  • Keep accurate records of trips and any incidents.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of students and any required equipment.
  • Ensure the vehicle remains clean, well‑maintained, and ready for duty.
Key Requirements
  • Valid Category D1 driving licence (preferred) with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Prepared to obtain the MIDAS qualification.
  • Prepared to obtain a suitable First Aid qualification.
  • Over 21 years of age.
  • Good IT proficiency.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to maintain good relationships with parents and staff.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.
