Transport Operator – Northampton – Up to £34,000
Our client, a recognized transport company, is looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join their team in Northampton.
As a Transport Planner, you will be experienced in dealing with general haulage and routing company-owned vehicles UK-wide.
Job type: Permanent
Hours: 4 on, 4 off – Days
Salary: Up to £34,000
- Routing company owned vehicles
- Plan routes as cost effectively as possible
- Plan routes in line with WTD and Driver Hours
- Ensure all customers are kept up to date
- Complete all necessary admin
- Work with the Manager to ensure that all vehicles are in compliance with company standards
- Perform and correctly implement General Administration, e.g., costing, agreeing charge rates with contractors, queries in accordance with the company’s requirements
- Extensive transport route planning skills for a UK-based transport company
- General haulage experience
- Excellent geographical knowledge
- Strong communication skills
