Postal Delivery Driver

Pertemps is recruiting Postal Delivery Drivers in Northampton on behalf of Royal Mail, offering a temporary contract at £13.69 per hour. Working 30 to 40 hours weekly, shifts fall between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday, with weekend availability also required. Duties begin at the local delivery office, sorting and loading mail before heading out on foot or by vehicle. A handheld device supports signature capture and route navigation.

Successful applicants must be comfortable walking up to eight miles daily and lifting mail bags. Reliability, physical fitness and strong customer service skills suit this independent outdoor position.

Pertemps is proud to support Royal Mail in recruiting Multi-Drop Postal Delivery Drivers across Northampton. If you have a passion for customer service and enjoy working independently outdoors, this is the perfect role for you!

• Start your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load your deliveries
• Use a handheld device for signature capture and route navigation
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle – walking up to 8 miles per day
• Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg)
• Use delivery trolleys when required

• Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points; clean licence preferred) Need to have held your license for 6 months.
• Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential
• Excellent time management and customer service skills
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
