Purpose of the role:
To carry out a range of warehouse operational activities, ensuring the safe and efficient handling, storage, and movement of goods. This includes operating a Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) to load, unload, and transport pallets, supporting goods‑in and goods‑out processes, picking and preparing orders for dispatch, and ensuring stock is stored accurately in designated locations while maintaining health and safety standards.

• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently using appropriate MHE, including PPT where required.
• Checking and verifying delivery and collection paperwork to ensure accuracy and compliance with operational procedures.
• Labelling goods correctly and transporting pallets to designated storage or staging areas within the warehouse.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to support the smooth running of daily warehouse operations.
• Maintaining high housekeeping standards and ensuring MHE (Material Handling Equipment) is kept clean and in good working order.
• Using handheld scanners to accurately record, locate, and track pallet movements within the warehouse management system.

• Experience in storing and retrieving heavy or high‑value goods within a warehouse environment.
• Strong team player with the ability to work effectively with colleagues.
• Good attention to detail to ensure accuracy in handling goods and documentation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced operational environment.
• Capable of working on own initiative and unsupervised when required.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to use warehouse systems and handheld scanners.
• Good manual handling skills and awareness of safe lifting techniques.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures within a warehouse setting.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills to support accurate stock handling and paperwork.
• Valid Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) licence – essential.
