Warehouse Operative

Pay Rate: £12.71

Purpose Of the Role:
To carry out day-to-day operational warehousing activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods. You'll help ensure the accurate and timely handling of shipments, supporting the smooth running of the warehouse while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and teamwork.

• Execute all core warehouse operations including goods receipt, accurate storage, order picking, retrieval, loading, and unloading of goods in line with company procedures.
• Conduct thorough checks and controls during each process to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with health & safety and operational standards.
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, checking for damage, discrepancies, or missing items, and report issues promptly to supervisors.
• Follow scanning and inventory procedures to ensure stock is recorded and tracked accurately in the warehouse management system.

• Experience putting away or retrieving heavy & high value goods
• Strong team player

• Computer literate
• Manual handling skills
• Awareness of health and safety issues
• Numeracy and literacy skill
