Position: Municipal Accounting Clerk with Reception Duties
Location: West Nipissing

Become an essential part of municipal operations as an Accounting Clerk. This role combines accounting tasks with receptionist and clerical duties, ensuring smooth communication and precise financial management.

In this position, you will handle both accounts payable and receivable while managing customer inquiries. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a background in accounting or business administration. You will ensure accuracy in financial reporting and maintain effective communication across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate invoice coding from Department heads

• Process timely disbursements via cheque or EFT

• Prepare disbursement reports for Council

• Enter cash receipting for property taxes

• Balance daily cash receipting by payment type

Requirements:

• Minimum two years post-secondary education

• Fluent in both official languages

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Excellent organization and time management skills
