Position: Occasional Teacher Roster

The Near North District School Board invites applications for the Elementary and Secondary Occasional Teacher Rosters for the school year.

How to apply

to be an Occasional Teacher

Candidates must submit the following documents through Applyto Education (ATE):

Cover Letter including permission to contact references;
Resume;
For new graduates: the names of your faculty advisor and two associate teachers;
For experienced teachers: the names of your three most recent principals or superintendents who have observed your teaching;
Copy of your most recent performance appraisal or practice teaching report;

Verification of current, good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers — ensure your OCT # is attached to your ATE profile;

Criminal Background Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening completed within the last six months — a letter to attain your VSC will be provided after your interview.

* The NNDSB requires the original Vulnerable Sector Screening on file before starting work, not at the interview stage.
