Family Studies

Effective immediately until approx. February 13, 2026 but no later to extend beyond June 26, 2026

• Basic qualifications to teach in the Intermediate Division

• Additional qualification in technological studies in sewing and dressmaking, food and nutrition or home economics or currently enrolled in such a course
• Able to plan for and work with a large variety of intermediate students including students with special needs
• Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, Google Meet as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY, to facilitate instruction and effective communication with parents
• Knowledge of Grade 7 and 8 curriculum in Healthy Living
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage the program budget and classroom materials
• Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies
• Commitment to being an active participant in the school's professional learning team to promote student achievement
• Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties
• Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the school environment would be an asset
