Youth Program Instructor at YMCA

Located primarily at our Silver Birches, Ferris Glen, and East Ferris sites, the Youth Program Instructor position is part-time, focusing on creating enriching activities for young participants. Successful applicants need to demonstrate experience in leading group activities and excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with participants and families alike.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement engaging youth activities

• Supervise and engage in group activities thoroughly

• Use behavior management techniques for positive outcomes

• Ensure safety and enjoyment for all involved

• Handle supply inventory effectively

Requirements:

• Preferred:
Ontario Secondary School Diploma

• Certification in Standard First Aid and CPR C

• Proven experience in group facilitation

• Strong verbal and written communication

• Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector needed
