French Teacher/Tutor Wanted

Oxford Learning North Bay is looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic French teacher/tutor/coach to work part‑time in a small group setting.

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Location:

Oxford Learning North Bay, 343 Airport Road, North Bay, ON

Schedule:

3:00 pm – 7:00 pm Monday–Friday, Saturdays 10:00 am – 3:00 pm (availability required); commitment through June preferred, summer continuation preferred.

• Teach up to 3 students at a time at different levels.
• Conduct sessions in French only.
• Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Complete post‑lesson notes and daily student communication updates.
• Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field.
• Strong background in spoken and written French and English.
• Experience teaching or tutoring French to students up to Grade 12 (Grade 9–12 preferred).
• Strong English written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage up to three students simultaneously.
• Teaching certification an asset.
• Good knowledge of current Grades 9‑12 French core curriculum.

• Post‑school and evening hours (3:00 pm – 7:00 pm) plus some Saturdays; must be able to commute to the location.
• Vulnerable sector screening mandatory; relocation packages not available.
• English language proficiency;
  French teaching duty only.
