Department: School of Trades and Technology – Advanced Manufacturing Program
Location: Commerce Court Campus – North Bay, ON
Contract Duration: January 12, 2026 – April 24, 2026
The following teaching need is required for in-class delivery (no remote or hybrid options) at the Commerce Court Campus:
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Engineering Economics
- Minimum two (2) years of experience working in Advanced Manufacturing
- Proficiency in the pillars of Industry 4.0, including the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data and Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Augmented Reality, and Additive Manufacturing.
- Understanding of Cyber-Physical Systems and their role in smart factories
- Knowledge of automation, robotics, and real-time monitoring systems
- Familiarity with predictive maintenance using sensors and AI
- Expertise in connecting devices, sensors, and machines through IoT frameworks
- Experience creating interactive and practical learning experiences
- Highly effective communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of student success strategies in a post-secondary setting
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in learning management systems (Brightspace or Moodle) and educational technologies is an asset
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment design in a post-secondary context is an asset
Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver and evaluate effective learning related to the course
- Work closely with students and colleagues to provide an optimal learning environment
- Perform all responsibilities associated with the learning environment including preparation, delivery, and evaluation of theory and practical learning activities
