Job Description
AECOM 's Transportation Engineering Group is seeking a self-driven and motivated Civil Engineering Graduate to further their professional development within our North Bay, Ontario office. This position is for a newly created position.
In this role, you will provide technical support on projects related to highways, roadways and/or interchanges.
This will be a full-time position expected to begin as soon as possible.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Support Project Engineers and Managers with routine and non-routine tasks
- Provide project coordination assistance for design and construction of infrastructure projects to support Project Managers with ensuring delivery of design deliverables
- Under supervision, work with stakeholders, third parties and client organizations
- Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures
- Ensure overall data quality and integrity, while following quality control procedures
- Prepare design documentation, correspondence and reports
- Attend meetings and prepare minutes of meetings
- Monitor project costs and budgets
- Prepare project schedules and monitor progress of work
- Review and compile client submittals
- Assist with the preparation of technical specifications and bid documents
Minimum Requirements :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Previous exposure or strong interest in transportation infrastructure
- Engineer in Training (E.I.T) Designation, or eligible to register
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Open Road, Civil 3D Design, or similar applications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, MS Project (or other scheduling software) and PowerPoint.
- Relocation is not available for this position.
- Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.
