Independent Contractor: Senior Civil Designer

Become an integral part of EXP as an Independent Contractor Senior Civil Designer in mining projects. Utilize your Civil 3D proficiency to prepare essential engineering drawings in various Canadian locations.

Your role will be based in St. Johns, NL;
Brampton, Sudbury; or North Bay, ON, where you will apply your extensive EPCM/design knowledge to create designs for water management and earthwork planning. Your work will involve coordinating closely with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring project specifications are met efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed Civil 3D models and site designs

• Conduct site inspections to verify field conditions

• Collaborate with civil engineering specialists

• Assist project teams with technical insights

• Generate material take-offs and as-built drawings

Requirements:

• College diploma or degree in engineering

• 10 years of civil engineering design experience

• Proven skills in Civil 3D and AutoCAD

• Mining industry experience is critical

• Strong oral and written communication abilities
