Junior Civil Engineer (EIT)

Location: North Bay, ON.

Job Summary: We’re looking for a Junior Civil Engineer/EIT to assist in design tasks for infrastructure projects such as water mains, storm and sanitary sewers, grading, and storm water management. The role involves drafting in AutoCAD Civil 3D, liaising with clients and regulatory authorities, and supporting project management activities.

• Participate and perform design tasks including AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting in the design of infrastructure projects including water mains, storm and sanitary sewers, grading, and storm water management.
• Support the design project manager to liaise with clients, regulatory authorities, and other project stakeholders to guide projects through the approval processes.
• Collaborate with the design project manager on project schedules and budgets.
• Collaborate on fundamentals of detail design of Civil/Site works infrastructure work and project management.
• Oversee, document, review, and assess contractor’s compliance with contractual requirements.
• Take accurate and detailed measurements of all work performed by the contractor to ensure accurate payments.
• Perform Contract Administrator and Inspection tasks in preparing various site reports.

• Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng.) or Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) in Ontario is required.
• Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Salary Range: $60K – $75K.
