As a Senior Mechanical Designer, you'll collaborate with engineers and the operations group to support shaft sinking operations. You will be responsible for timely and precise drawings, ensuring adherence to regulations and safety policies. This position requires a robust understanding of design processes and risk management in the mining industry alongside technical support and inspections at sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce accurate project drawings using design software

• Design structures and components for shaft sinking

• Verify compliance with safety and legislative standards

• Review drawings from other design team members

• Conduct necessary research and make design recommendations

Requirements:

• 5 years’ experience in mining environments required

• Preferred 10 years’ experience with shaft sinking

• College diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Technician

• Strong knowledge of design compliance and regulations

• Willingness to travel for site inspections
