Our partnered client; A well-established business located near North Bay is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee financial operations and contribute to the company’s long-term strategic success.

Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our team as soon as possible. Reporting directly to senior leadership, this role involves managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and mentoring two direct reports in purchasing and project management. The ideal candidate will be someone who can wear multiple hats in a dynamic business environment, align with the company’s long-term vision, and contribute to financial and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all financial operations, ensuring accuracy and complianceManage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecastingSupervise and mentor two direct reports:
Purchasing and Project ManagersCollaborate with leadership to align financial goals with business strategyConduct financial analysis to support decision-making and operational improvementsEnsure month-end close processes, payroll, and accounts management are executed efficientlyDevelop and maintain internal financial controls and policiesWork closely with Claude, a long-term employee, who will assist with training and onboardingIdeal Candidate
10+ years of relevant financial experience, preferably within manufacturing or constructionStrong leadership and mentorship skillsExcellent financial reporting and compliance expertiseProactive problem solver with strong analytical skillsAbility to adapt and contribute in a family-run, team-oriented environmentMotivated to learn, grow, and take ownership of financial operationsCMA or CGA designation preferred over CAOpen to candidates who demonstrate strong potential, even if they do not meet all traditional qualificationsCompensation & Benefits
