General Purpose of this Job

This role will be the first dedicated position within a newly forming Business Technology function. The successful candidate will help identify opportunities, design solutions, and drive adoption of digital tools and processes that improve efficiency, visibility, and decision‑making across the organization.

Depending on experience and demonstrated capability, the role may be positioned at a specialist, senior specialist, or manager level. The final title, scope, and compensation will be aligned to the successful candidate's background and the value they bring to the organization.

Health and Safety
  • Work in compliance with all Health and Safety rules and regulations for Cementation
  • Be aware of any health and safety hazards or infractions and report same to Health and Safety Department
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace, including when working at project sites and in technology‑related environments.
General Responsibilities
  • Supporting and leading digital transformation initiatives at both enterprise and project levels
  • Designing integrated, end‑to‑end workflows that improve how information flows across functions and project sites
  • Leveraging low‑code/no‑code platforms, automation tools, analytics, reporting, and AI to deliver practical solutions
  • Developing and supporting dashboards and reporting that provide timely, reliable insights to leadership
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to re‑engineer business processes and support change adoption
  • Managing initiatives end‑to‑end, including stakeholder engagement, change management, documentation, and quality assurance
Travel Requirements
  • This position has the requirement for occasional travel to our project sites and offices
  • Travel may include Canadian and US assignments
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • No direct reports.
  • May provide direction to or coordinate the work of third‑party suppliers, consultants, and implementation partners as required.
Education and Experience
  • +7-10 years experience developing, supporting and implementing new technology and business processes across different departments.
  • A strong understanding of how technology enables business outcomes, not just systems
  • The ability to work across functions and translate between technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Experience in mining, construction, engineering, heavy industrial, or other project‑based environments (an asset)
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent experience in the field of Business Technology.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
  • High‑level understanding of IT systems and information architecture such as workflow automation, business intelligence / analytics tools, reporting tools, cloud or network applications; and the ability to support, maintain and troubleshoot these.
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills (ability to translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders).
  • Experience supporting and implementing digital transformation at an enterprise level.
  • Experience in change management and quality assurance.
  • Project management capability for end‑to‑end solution delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a group environment and collaborate with diverse cross functional teams.
  • Flexible, with solid interpersonal skills for working in a diverse environment.
  • Able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
