This is an entry level position provides a pathway to future operator opportunities while supporting the safe and efficient operation of our mill through essential labour and housekeeping responsibilities. Successful candidates will begin by performing labour and housekeeping duties while learning mill processes, equipment, and technology systems. As opportunities arise, employees may progress into operator roles involving equipment operation, quality inspections, material handling, process monitoring, troubleshooting, product changeovers, and the use of computerized production systems.

Employees are expected to actively participate in training and development opportunities to support this progression. You will begin on a Monday to Friday eight (8) hour shift schedule but will transition to a rotating twelve (12) hour 2-2-3 shift schedule which includes nights and weekends, and holidays with increased compensation.

Our competitive compensation package includes a starting wage of $31.09/hour, shift differentials, a quarterly bonus plan, medical/dental/vision, pension, overtime opportunities and paid time off.

• Safety Compliance:

  Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and facility, ensuring a safe and efficient workspace
• Operate Machinery:
  Safely operate and monitor various production machines and mobile equipment according to standard operating procedures
• Quality Control:
  Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and report any discrepancies immediately
• Material Handling:
  Assist in the loading, unloading, storage, and documentation of raw materials and finished products.

  Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and reduce waste

• This role involves working in a manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, dust, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
• The work is physically demanding and requires prolonged standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting, pushing, pulling, and preforming manual labour activities throughout the facility.
• Team members regularly work in different production and operational areas based on business needs and training requirements.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn as required
