Inpatient Medicine Registered Nurse

Join North Bay Regional Health Centre as a Registered Nurse in Inpatient Medicine. This role requires exceptional clinical skills and a commitment to patient care in a fast-paced environment.

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with recent experience in medical surgical settings for our Inpatient Medicine department. This unit primarily serves patients admitted from the Emergency Department and those transferred from Critical Care. Candidates should have current certifications and strong interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a total patient care climate

• Administer medications and manage IV therapy and central lines

• Conduct health teaching for patients and families

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes

• Implement quality improvement initiatives in care delivery

Requirements:

• Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Recent palliative care experience within the last 2-3 years

• Certified in Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers

• Advanced English and French bilingualism (preferred)

• Commitment to continuing education and quality improvement
