Location: West Nipissing
West Nipissing General Hospital is hiring a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for our Nursing Care Unit. The position is permanent, part‑time (24‑37.5 hours per week) and located onsite in Sturgeon Falls, ON.
Compensation $38.04–$39.02 per hour.
Shift Schedule Days: 07:00 AM – 07:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Nights: 07:00 PM – 07:00 AM, Monday to Friday
Weekend rotation and holiday work required.
Responsibilities Provide holistic, patient‑centred nursing care that promotes comfort, dignity, and recovery.
Safely administer medications in accordance with hospital policies and standards.
Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and vital signs.
Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes.
Educate patients and families on care plans, health management, and discharge preparation.
Build strong therapeutic relationships through clear communication and empathy.
Apply clinical skills across a range of nursing procedures.
Participate in ongoing learning and career development.
Qualifications Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
Graduation from a recognized college or university practical nursing program.
Valid BCLS certification.
Strong clinical judgment and a commitment to safe, patient‑focused care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
New graduates and RPNs with 0–2 years of experience are encouraged to apply.

Levels of education:
Completed college/university.
Languages:
English (proficient), French (proficient).
