Your 2-3 years of experience in surgical and pediatric nursing will be vital as you monitor diverse patient demographics in the PACU. You’ll focus on communication and teamwork while assisting patients through their recovery, collaborating with other healthcare providers to enhance patient outcomes and adhere to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and track patients’ vital signs post-surgery
• Coordinate care effectively with anaesthetists and surgeons
• Conduct health education and support patient questions
• Implement routine safety protocols and improvements
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for comprehensive care
Requirements:
• Hold valid Ontario nursing registration
• Experience in PACU, pediatric, and surgical care settings
• Certifications in ECG, IV therapy, and PCA management
• Commitment to ongoing training in nursing practices
• Bilingual in English and French preferred
