Required Qualifications

• A minimum of a master’s degree in nursing or a related field.
• At least one degree in nursing (BScN or equivalent).
• Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Relevant clinical and/or teaching experience aligned with the course content.
• Demonstrated ability to teach effectively in a post‑secondary nursing education environment.

• A doctoral degree in nursing or a related field, or doctoral study in progress.
• Previous experience teaching in a university or college nursing program.
• Experience with concept‑based curricula, curriculum development, or course coordination.
• Experience with simulation‑based education, laboratory instruction, or experiential learning.
• Familiarity with learning technologies, learning management systems, and online or hybrid teaching environments.
• Evidence of scholarly or professional engagement related to nursing education or practice.

• Responsible for all instruction and evaluation for the portion of the course to which they are assigned.
• Will be available to meet with students outside of the official classroom time.
• Complete mandatory training requirements, review and follow Nipissing University’s policies and procedures.
