Position: Culturally Competent Nurse
Join North Bay Indigenous Hub in a critical nursing role as a Registered Practical Nurse. This full-time, benefit-eligible position focuses on delivering culturally safe health services.

The North Bay Indigenous Hub needs a Registered Practical Nurse to assist in providing comprehensive care while respecting Indigenous traditions. You will work closely with an experienced health care team, ensuring effective health promotion and chronic disease management for local Indigenous individuals. Your skills in assessment and collaboration will be essential in this supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather patient histories and conduct initial assessments

• Administer vaccinations and monitor inventory

• Perform assessments of vital signs and assist during clinical procedures

• Collaborate with the health care team to develop patient plans

• Maintain cleanliness and order in clinical spaces

Requirements:

• Registered Practical Nurse with CNO certification

• Understanding of Indigenous culture and health factors

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• First Aid/CPR and WHMIS certifications

• Flexibility to travel to various locations as needed
