Join the Acute Inpatient Psychiatry Unit team, where you will support individuals aged 18 and older experiencing psychiatric crises. Your expertise in mental health will enhance patient outcomes through pharmacological treatment and skill development. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential as you assist patients and contribute to discharge planning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive patient care in a psychiatric setting
• Conduct thorough mental health and risk assessments
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals on treatment plans
• Educate patients and groups on health management
• Support a culture of safety within the unit
Requirements:
• Current Certificate of Registration – College of Nurses of Ontario
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate within the last year
• Mental health experience in active care
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and symptom management
• Bilingualism in English/French is preferred
