Become a Geriatric Practical Nurse in a nursing home setting in Canada. This part time job emphasizes direct patient care, medication administration, and ensuring well-being.

We are looking for a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our nursing home team. Your duties will include administering medications, applying nursing practices within your scope, and observing therapeutic responses. You will educate patients and their families while working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to monitor and enhance patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and monitor patient reactions

• Apply sterile techniques and infection control methods

• Take vital signs and assess patient health

• Provide educational support to patients and their families

• Consult with the healthcare team regarding patient progress

Requirements:

• Completion of Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination

• Necessary CPR and First Aid Certifications

• Experience in geriatric care preferred

• Required immunization and tuberculosis testing

• Must pass a vulnerable sector check
