North Bay Regional Health Centre is seeking a qualified Registered Practical Nurse. Candidates must possess a current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, along with certifications in BLS and Capillary Blood Glucose. Experience in medication administration, catheterization, and dementia care is essential to meet patient needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients
• Administer medications and manage blood glucose levels
• Use therapeutic communication to de-escalate patient situations
• Collaborate efficiently with the healthcare team
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to health requirements
Requirements:
• Certification from College of Nurses of Ontario
• BLS and Capillary Blood Glucose certifications
• Experience in dementia care and medication administration
• Knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., Mental Health Act)
• Bilingualism in English and French is required
