This position provides essential care within the Regional Dementia Care Services team in Oak Lodge. We are seeking a dedicated nurse with current registration, BLS certification, and a background in dementia care. You’ll collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and apply best practices for managing behavioural and psychological symptoms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive assessment and treatment for older adults
• Collaborate on care planning with multi-disciplinary teams
• Employ trauma-informed care principles effectively
• Maintain accurate documentation using computer applications
• Ensure safety and adapt to shifts in various programs
Requirements:
• Current Certificate of Registration from College of Nurses
• Recent Basic Life Support certification
• Gentle Persuasive Approach and dementia care knowledge
• Proven ability to work with responsive behaviours
• Bilingualism in English/French is an asset
