In this role, you will work in both Oak Lodge and Nickel Lodge, focusing on rehabilitation for those grappling with age-related dementia and psychiatric challenges. You will implement individualized care plans, leveraging your knowledge in psychiatric pathology and recovery models while engaging in a supportive, patient-centric environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments for patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in care planning
• Engage with clients and families to enhance understanding
• Provide health education and manage pharmacological treatments
• Contribute to a safe and nurturing care culture
Requirements:
• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a practical nurse
• Recent Basic Life Support and Gentle Persuasive Approach certifications
• Experience in mental health settings is essential
• Strong communication skills for effective assessment documentation
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French preferred
