Working within the AIPU, you will support patients aged 18 and older during psychiatric crises, offering assessment and consultation services. You will collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams, utilizing your expertise in psychotropic medications and symptom management to provide essential care and support to those in need.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive mental-health status and risk assessments
• Collaborate with diverse healthcare teams for patient care
• Implement supportive discharge planning with patients
• Deliver health education to individuals and groups
• Manage pharmacological treatment protocols for clients
Requirements:
• Valid Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Demonstrated mental-health experience in an active care setting
• Knowledge of Mental Health Act and relevant regulations
• Bilingualism in English and French preferred
