Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Elevate patient care with North Bay Regional Health Centre as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. Required qualifications include a current Certificate of Registration and recent BLS certification.

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with minimum 2-3 years of experience in Medical or Surgical Units and 1-2 years in Emergency settings. You will be joining a collaborative multi-disciplinary team that values excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in trauma nursing and previous mental health experience will be an asset to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care within the Emergency Department

• Demonstrate critical thinking in patient assessment and intervention

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes

• Deliver health education to patients and their families

• Support a safe and effective care environment

Requirements:

• Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Recent Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications

• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Medical/Surgical Units

• Experience in Emergency nursing within the last 2-3 years

• Bilingualism in English and French is required
