North Bay Regional Health Centre invites applications for a Registered Practical Nurse within the Regional Specialized Mental Health Program. This position emphasizes recovery-oriented practices and requires solid knowledge of psychiatric care and rehabilitation. Strong interpersonal skills and conflict resolution abilities are essential to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide patient assessments and create individualized treatment plans
• Facilitate recovery-oriented approaches for patients
• Engage actively with the healthcare team members
• Administer medications and conduct health teaching
• Uphold safety standards and contribute to a safe care environment
Requirements:
• Valid Certificate from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Proven experience in mental health nursing is a must
• Certification in Medication Administration required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate needed
• Advanced English/French bilingualism is preferred
