Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Position: Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Opportunity
Join North Bay Regional Health Centre as a Nurse Practitioner focused on mental health and addictions. Work collaboratively to provide high-quality care and treatment pathways at the King Street campus.

This role requires a Nurse Practitioner to engage with individuals facing mental health or addiction challenges. You will implement withdrawal management protocols, develop care plans, and leverage your expertise in therapeutic communication. Commitment to quality improvement and independent decision-making is essential to excel in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary health team

• Initiate and manage withdrawal protocols for patients

• Develop and execute care plans tailored to patient needs

• Apply ethical frameworks for treatment interventions

• Manage diverse tasks and rapidly changing priorities

Requirements:

• Must be registered as an RN in the Extended Class

• Valid BLS certification (within last year) required

• Prior mental health clinical experience preferred

• Ability to prescribe controlled substances necessary

• Advanced bilingualism in English and French required
