This role requires a Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario and a Basic Life Support certification within the last year. Familiarity with Recovery Oriented Practices and exemplary interpersonal skills are crucial to effectively support patients. You'll ensure safety and quality of care while collaborating with the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care to individuals with serious mental illness
• Implement conflict resolution strategies during patient interactions
• Participate fully in designated codes (White, Red, etc.)
• Deliver health education to patients as needed
• Support a culture of safety within the organization
Requirements:
• Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience with mental health and recovery practices
• Valid Class 'G' driver's licence
• Must work all scheduled shifts including weekends
