Candidates must hold a current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from within the last year. This position requires experience in an acute care environment, including competencies in medication administration, IV maintenance, and patient education. Additionally, familiarity with dementia care will be beneficial for patient interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver individual care to medical patients in the hospital
• Administer medications and support IV and enteral feed protocols
• Collaborate within the healthcare team to enhance patient health
• Provide education on health management to individuals or groups
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols at all times
Requirements:
• Active Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses
• Recent BLS certification required
• Medical clinical experience in acute care necessary
• Availability for shifts and call-ins
• Bilingual candidates preferred for patient communication
