Applicants must possess a valid Nursing Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario and a current Basic Life Support certification. Experience in rehabilitation and specific care for TIA/Stroke patients is advantageous. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to inform and educate patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage medication and provide wound care
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to acute stroke patients
• Support enteral feeding and tracheostomy care
• Participate actively in patient education and health promotion
• Uphold safety standards in all patient interactions
Requirements:
• Active certification from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Recent Basic Life Support certification necessary
• Stroke Nursing Certification completion required within 60 days
• Detailed knowledge of acute care settings
• Strong attendance and commitment to teamwork
