This nursing role requires a current College of Nurses of Ontario registration and experience in mental health settings. Utilizing strong interpersonal skills, you will assess patient needs and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. A commitment to ongoing education and quality patient care is essential in providing effective mental health support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive mental health assessments for patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary health team
• Deliver patient-focused discharge planning and health education
• Utilize interpersonal and de-escalation skills effectively
• Manage pharmacological treatment and symptom management
Requirements:
• Valid Ontario Certificate of Registration
• Minimum 1-2 years of mental health experience
• Basic Life Support certification (recent)
• Knowledge of the Mental Health Act
• Bilingualism (English/French) preferred
