The position requires a current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario, along with a Basic Life Support certification.
Experience with serious mental illnesses and knowledge of recovery-oriented practices are crucial. Demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills will ensure positive patient interactions while adhering to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care to individuals with serious mental illness
• Participate fully in all code responses as required
• Conduct health teaching for patients effectively
• Collaborate with the health team efficiently
• Maintain safety and support for patients and staff
Requirements:
• Valid Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience with mental health patients required
• Valid Class “G” driver’s licence mandatory
• Good attendance record and reliability required
