Located in the Clinical Rehabilitation Evaluation Unit at Osprey, this role requires a strong background in forensic nursing and the ability to assist individuals transitioning to community living. Bring your interpersonal skills and nursing expertise to deliver evidence-based programming and support for mental health patients. Your knowledge of psychiatric disorders and rehabilitation will be key in enhancing patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer nursing care in a forensic setting
• Facilitate group sessions for patients with mental health challenges
• Conduct thorough Mental Status Exams as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient support
• Participate in health teaching for individuals and groups
Requirements:
• Current Certificate of Registration with College of Nurses of Ontario
• 2-3 years experience in forensic mental health nursing
• BLS and Gentle Persuasive Approach certification
• Demonstrated knowledge of psychotropic medications
• Valid G driver's license for travel
