Registered Practical Nurses with dementia care experience can support Complex Continuing Care and Seniors Mental Health at North Bay Regional Health Centre.
This Registered Practical Nurse role serves patients in Complex Continuing Care, Seniors Mental Health A1, and Dementia Care B1. Required strengths include medical clinical experience, physical assessment, medication administration, and therapeutic communication. The position requires patient care responsibility, collaboration, and scheduled shifts or call-ins.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide total patient care to medical patients
- Complete physical assessments and health teaching
- Administer medications using certified procedures
- Support patients through therapeutic communication
- Contribute to workplace safety and prevention
- Current Ontario nursing registration certificate
- Recent Basic Life Support certificate for healthcare providers
- Capillary blood glucose certification and medical experience
- Dementia care and catheterization experience
- Advanced English and French bilingualism required
